Wonderful change of pace from mystery
I've read this book and it is wonderful! It's well written and I couldn't put it down. It's so easy to care about David, Meghan and Erin. They're truly heroes, beautiful and compassionate. As a resident of Santa Catalina Island, I really like how the author portrayed my island; romantic and exotic. B. R. Montgomery's attention to detail made the story stand up and stand out, very real. The anticipation of Meghan and David getting together was fun and worth the wait. If there's only one book to read this fall, this is it.
I do miss seeing the book cover on the Amazon page, though. It's lovely and tells a lot about the story inside. Can't wait to read more from this author.

breathtaking photographs
Barron's photographs and Graham's poetry compliment each other beautifully. The photographs are breathtaking; after flipping through a few pages you want to decorate your home in Barron's work. I have had this book for several years, and continue to treasure it.

breathtaking photographs!
I bought this book several years ago and I just love it. The photographs are just breathtaking. I highly reccommend this book to anyone who enjoys delicate poetry or appreciates art or photography. Barron, the photographer, has this subtle and amazingly artful eye and you leave the book wanting to decorate your home with her work. This is a must-have!

an inspiring coupling of image and text
Another beautifully printed book from Scalo. Pulitzer prize -winning Graham's sparse verse is not only inspired, but enhanced by Mongomery Barron's pristine imagery. Her (Barron's) still life photographs are not merely decorative interperatations of form, texture and tone. Each image is a poem,a meditation, a complex expression of pure beauty and eerie silence.

Tractatus Logico-Theologicus
Published in Paperback by CILTPP (30 September, 2002)
Author: John Warwick Montgomery

Unbelievable Tome on Defense of Christianity as Truth
Montgomery here delivers his magnum opus. Organized around Wittgenstein's opus Montgomery defends articulately and clearly Christian's positions against pluralism.

The starting point: "The characteristic most fully shared by the religions of the world is their incompatability with eath other."

Another of his significant propositions: "Historical, jurisprudentail, and scientific standards of evidence offer the touchstone for resolving the religious predicament by establishing the truth claims of Christian proclamation." Here, one can sense the inclusion of his previous apologetics and its maturity.

Massive work which requires most of its readers to stop and ponder each and every propostion, and in this reviewers case, take a side journey to investigage the mention of person or teaching being presented.

This is certainly one of the most important apologetics publications of our time, and it will be interesting to see the response.

Easily deserves major reading.

Lead Us Not Into Temptation (The Kayla Montgomery Mystery series)
Published in Paperback by Royal Fireworks Press (02 February, 1999)
Authors: Amy C. Laundrie, Chris Dodge, Myrna Kemnitz, and Amy, C. Laundrie
Average review score:

All the elements girls look for!
This is Amy Laundrie's fourth novel in the Kayla Montgomery Mystery series, and she again combines elements young girls look for---mystery, romance, and horses. Ms. Laundrie clearly knows the horse world well. Her writing also shines with lovely details when her characters are out in the natural world. And readers will appreciate the unusual twists in the story, such as a crisis in a reptile museum!

If you love horses and romance, this book is for you!
I had a great time reading "Lead Us Not Into Temptation." Kayla is a likeable heroine, and she kept me wondering what she was going to do. There was plenty of action, suspense, and romance to keep me happy. Read it!

Best Kayla Book Yet!!
In this book a new Thoroughbred racehorse is beeing boarded at her Aunt's farm. Fortune is worth a mint and someone is trying to kill it. Is it Luke's boss, Rob's room mate, or Mark Armstrong who was "outbid"? While Kayla is torn between Rob and her new boyfriend Luke someone is endangering Fortune will Kayla come to her senses before it's too late?

Anne of Avonlea
Published in Audio Cassette by Naxos Audio Books (March, 1999)
Authors: Liza Ross and Lucy Maud Montgomery
Average review score:

Continuation of a good series...
Anne of Avonlea is a great book, and if you haven't read it, you're missing out! It continues the story of the girl with hair "the color of carrots", as she becomes a school teacher in Avonlea. There is everything in here, humor, love, the works! I also recomend Anne of Green Gables.

Anne Shirley becomes the teacher at Avonlea School
After the great success of "Anne of Green Gables," Lucy Maud Montgomery had to quickly write a sequel to continue the misadventures of the mischievous red-headed orphan on Prince Edward Island. Since the original classic was not intended to be the first in a series, Montgomery had to make some changes. The one that will drive you crazy is that Anne is back to being oblivious about Gilbert Blythe being the love of her life and her perfect match. The other thing that becomes obvious is that Montgomery is somewhat uncomfortable with Anne growing up, even though she is only "half-past sixteen," as evidenced by the infusion of new children into the story because Anne is now teaching at Avonlea school and Marilla has adopted the irrepressible Keith twins, Davy and Dora. You can also throw into the mix the mysterious new neighbor with his parrot and (my favorite part) the eccentric Miss Lavendar who has been waiting a quarter of a century for her beloved Stephen Irving to return to her. Along with "Anne of Windy Poplars," this book is a testament to Montgomery's respect for the teaching profession; the book is dedicated to her former teacher, Hattie Gordon Smith. While this is not one of my favorite Anne novels, it is still a worthy successor to the classic story. However, be warned: If you watch either of the "Anne of Avonlea" movies you will that virtually nothing from this novel ever made it to film.

The best book I've read in my life.
Anne is a marvellous girl with a big imagination that capt your mind. Besides, she's very impulsive and optimistic. When you start reading this book, you want to not stop. I personally read it in about one day and after that, I re-read it about 6 times without being tired or boring. Lucy Maud Montgomery made characters that are really fantastic. She's a good writer and I admire her. When I read "Anne of Avonlea", I felt myself very optimistic and happy. I advice you to buy this fantastic book. You will not regret that at all especially if you like stirring books.
